First: what is a “key”?
- A key is like a password that lets 4in1AI ask an AI on your behalf.
- It's a long line of letters and numbers. You copy it from a website and paste it here — that's all.
- You don't need to understand it or remember it. It's saved in your account.
The free way (recommended to start)
1. Create your account
- At the top of the page, press “API Keys” (the key icon on phones).
- Press “Continue with Google” and choose your Google account.
- That's it — you're back here, signed in.
2. Get your free key
- In the same panel, find “OpenRouter” and press “Get key”. A new tab opens.
- Press “Sign in” → “Continue with Google”.
- Press “Create Key”, write any name (for example: 4in1) and press Create.
- Press the copy icon next to the key. It starts with sk-or-.
3. Paste and save
- Go back to the 4in1AI tab.
- Tap the OpenRouter box, paste (hold and choose Paste on phones, Ctrl+V or ⌘+V on computers).
- Press Save. You'll never have to do this again, even on another device.
4. Ask!
- Write any question, or tap one of the suggestions.
- Press “Ask all 4”. The four answers appear at the same time.
- Extra: Blind battle (vote without seeing names), Run synthesis (one combined answer) and Battle card (an image to share).
Optional: the real ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok
With the free key, free AIs answer in place of each one. If you want the official ones, add that company's key. You can add just one, or all. Each key replaces the free AI only in its own box.
OpenAI (real ChatGPT)
Paid (from ~$5)- Tap “Get key” — platform.openai.com opens (it's different from the ChatGPT app).
- Sign in with the same account you use for ChatGPT.
- Press “Create new secret key”, then “Create secret key”.
- Copy it right away (starts with sk-) — it's only shown once.
- Paid: add $5 in Settings → Billing. A ChatGPT Plus plan does NOT include this.
Anthropic (real Claude)
Paid (from ~$5)- Tap “Get key” — console.anthropic.com opens.
- Sign in with Google or email.
- Press “Create Key”, give it a name and press Add.
- Copy it (starts with sk-ant-) — it's only shown once.
- Paid: add $5 in Billing. A Claude Pro plan does NOT include this.
Google (real Gemini)
Free- Tap “Get key” — Google AI Studio opens.
- Sign in with your Google account and accept the terms.
- Press “Create API key” (pick any project if asked).
- Copy the key (starts with AIza).
- Free to start — no card needed.
xAI (real Grok)
Paid (from ~$5)- Tap “Get key” — console.x.ai opens.
- Sign in with your X account, Google or email.
- Open “API Keys” on the left and press “Create API key”.
- Copy it (starts with xai-).
- Paid: add credit in Billing if it asks.
Something's not working?
I pasted the key and it says it's wrong.
Copy it again with the copy icon and paste it with no spaces before or after. Check it starts the right way (sk-or-, sk-, sk-ant-, AIza, xai-).
I lost my key or closed the page.
No problem. Create a new one on the same website and paste it here.
It says “no balance” or “add credit”.
That company's key is paid. Add credit on its Billing page, or remove that key and the free AI will answer instead.
An AI says it's busy.
Free AIs get crowded sometimes. Wait a few seconds and press Retry on that box.
I have ChatGPT Plus / Claude Pro. Does that work?
No — those plans are for their own apps. Here you need a key from their developer website (see above).
Is my key safe?
Yes. It's saved encrypted in your account and only used to send your questions. You can delete it anytime from the panel.
